"Bob Baker, 216 pound Pittsburgh heavyweight, pounded out his 23rd consecutive pro victory last night by handing Dale Hall of Chicago an unmerciful licking. Baker won a TKO in 2:53 of the 3rd round of a scheduled 10 rounder at Heidelberg Arena. Baker suffered a small cut over his mouth in the fairly even 1st round. Then he opened up on his 201 pound opponent. with only seven seconds of the 3rd round remaining, referee Ernie Sesto stepped in to stop the slaughter. Although neither fighter was down, Hall was virtually helpless the last half minute of the fight." -Associated Press
