"Heavyweight Henry Jones of Detroit was unconscious in Mercy Hospital after being KO'd at 1:41 of the 1st round of his scheduled 8-round main bout with Bob Baker of Pittsburgh tonight in Aragon Gardens. Dr. James Flynn said Jones' condition apparently is not serious but that the fighter would be kept in the hospital for 48 hours for observation. Jones apparently suffered a concussion when he was knocked down and the back of his head struck the floor of the ring. The victory was the 12th of Baker's professional career. A left hook, his first solid blow, was the finish." -Associated Press
