"Heavyweight contender Bob Baker scored eight knockdowns over Cuba's Omelio Agramonte at Heidelberg Arena tonight to take a unanimous 10 round decision and stretch his unbeaten record to 22 fights. The 225 pound Pittsburgh heavy had Agramonte on the canvas three times in each the 2nd and 3rd rounds. In each case, the 192 pound Cuban champion was saved by the bell. Baker scored again with knockdowns in both the 5th and 8th rounds. Baker never was in trouble against the game Agramonte, who was cheered lustily when he battled back following each knockdown. Neither Baker nor Agramonte was seriously hurt in the bout. The Cuban suffered a slight cut over the right eye and Baker had a puffed left ear." -United Press
