"Irish Bobby Cassidy, 159 1/2, Levittown, was a decisive winner over eight rounds over Vinnie Martinez, 160 1/4, of Puerto Rico, but had some trouble enroute. He fought most of the way with blood streaming from his nose and a couple of cuts over his left eye, but he shook up Martinez in the 2nd and again in the 7th, when he slashed a rip over the Puerto Rican's left eye.
