"Bobby Chacon, 127, knocked out Tury Pineda, 127 1/2, with a hard right to the jaw Thursday night in the 5th round of their scheduled 10 round featherweight fight at the Olympic Auditorium. Each fighter was staggered at least once as they traded blows toe-to-toe for the first four rounds. Chacon dropped Pineda with a left hook at the opening of the 5th round but Pineda bounced right back up. With one minute gone, Chacon put Pineda down for good with a right to the jaw and Pineda was counted out by referee John Thomas." -Long Beach Independent
