"Bobby 'Boogaloo' Watts said he was scared in the opening round Tuesday night, but he began to ease up as he upset Willie 'The Worm' Monroe with a 10 round unanimous decision in a middleweight contest. "I was scared and tense," Watts said after both Philadelphia middleweights started out with right and left exchanges. But Watts erupted with rights and lefts to gain control of the match. Watts got Monroe with a short right to the nose causing it to bleed. In a last effort in the 5th round Monroe tried to knock out his opponent but lacked the power. Monroe stayed with Watts until the 8th when he caught a left hook cutting him above the right eye." -United Press International
