Boone Kirkman 209 lbs beat Robie Harris 238 lbs by KO at 2:52 in round 4 of 10

    • "Boone Kirkman, 209, Seattle, Wash., scored the 6th straight victory on his comeback as he KO'd Roby Harris, 238, of San Francisco, Calif., in 2:52 of the 4th round at the Civic Auditorium. Boone carried the fight to his 6'6" rival from the opening bell but was unable to reach him with any damaging punches. When Boone did get inside he landed some clean body blows, but they didn't seem to effect Harris, until the 4th round. Mid-way in the round a left-right to the body made Roby fall into a clinch and when they were broken, Boone scored with a hard right to the jaw that staggered Roby, driving him back against the ropes. Kirkman followed up with a barrage of lefts and rights to the head with Harris slowly sinking to the canvas where he was counted out." -Boxing Illustrated, January 1974 issue
