Bout Summary

Prescott cruised through the first five rounds pumping Jargal with both single and double jabs and consistently landing the right hand. By Round 3 Jargal was bleeding from the nose and he would paw at it for the remainder of the bout. A right hand appeared to hurt Jargal in Round 5 and Prescott poured it on, throwing power shots and landing with moderate success, as many appeared to be slapping shots. To his credit, Jargal was able to shake off some big shots with a sound chin. Through 5 Rounds, ESPN's Teddy Atlas had the bout 50-44 in favor of Prescott; with Round 5 being a 10-8 round despite no knockdown occurring. By the 6th, Jargal had significant swelling to his left eye. Jargal did step up the pressure in Round 6 and began to attack Prescott to the body. Prescott began to box more, moving around, slipping and pumping the jab. Jargal would continue to come forward through the 8th looking to land power shots upstairs. In Round 9, Prescott was warned for a low blow. The 10th saw Prescott to continue to move around the ring at times throwing a right hand but largely looking to evade Jargal, who knew he needed the knockout.
