Brian Schofield was the Australian Super-featherweight champion and Victorian Lightweight champion in the 1980s. In 1978 he toured Europe with future World Champion Barry Michael. Joining the camp of then World Light Middleweight Champion, Rocky Mattioli, he KO'd the former Italian Super featherweight champion Biagio Pierri in 6 rounds in his first fight in Milan, Italy. He then went on to fight in Britain for a win & a loss as a Welterweight. He retired due to hand injuries in 1985. After retiring from boxing he moved to Queensland and enrolled in University. Brian graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Communications and English Literature. He worked in Drug and Alcohol rehabilitation and then youth work for a number of years. He now lives in Chiangmai, Northern Thailand. He works in the Gas & Oil industry.
