The British Board of Boxing Control (BBoBC) was formed in 1918 and controlled by London's National Sporting Club. It was restructured in 1929 and slightly renamed as the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC). During the 1920s and 1930s, it, the National Boxing Association, New York State Athletic Commission, and the International Boxing Union were the world's dominant sanctioning bodies.
