Notes
- Kern down in round 1 from a body punch from Stodden. That punch was late as it came after a break command from the referee. It was ruled an unintentional foul. Stodden was not credited with a knockdown, but was not penalized either.
- Fight is stopped in round 2 and declared a no-contest when both fighters fall to the canvas during a clinch. Kern clutches his chest after the fall and indicates he can't continue.
- Second unsuccessful attempt of Stodden in two months to win the CAM Middleweight title. His first attempt ended in a draw with Shelby Pudwill (see Brock Stodden vs. Shelby Pudwill).
- After the fight, Kern seemed to admit that he could have continued and stated: ""I wasn't hurt bad enough to have it stopped".
