After Sauerland production released him from his contract as a sparring partner for Axel Schulz, Monse started a comeback and became member of the new founded management company SES (owner: Ulf Steinforth).

On the undercard of Ottke-Brewer, Monse's trainer was Ulli Wegner.

Wegner has been replaced by Werner Kirsch since he's signed with SES.

He lost against Vitaly Klitschko as an amateur in 1995.
