Bobo Olson 166 lbs beat Garth Panter 163 lbs by UD in round 10 of 10

"Carl (Bobo) Olson, a master craftsman of the middleweight division, scored a unanimous 10-round decision over Garth Panter, the Inter-Mountain middleweight champ, in the Butte Civic Center Monday night. Olson, America's leading contender for the middleweight title, weighed 165 1/2 to Panter's 163 1/4. Olson, fast and shifty, set the style for the fight, boxing in speedy, short flurries. Olson was effective throughout the bout with a snake-like left hand which he kept in the face of Panter most of the fight. Bobo left-hooked, left-jabbed and straight lefted his way to victory, and at times, for variety's sake, threw in a few sharp-shooting rights. A whirlwind finish by Panter gave him the 10th and last round. There were no knockdowns." -Butte Montana-Standard
