"Bobo Olson pounded Paddy Young into submission in six rounds last night at Oakland Auditorium. Referee Jack Downey went over to Paddy's corner after the 6th and was told by the seconds the New Yorker had had enough. Bobo, in winning every round of the bout scheduled for 10, earned a mouse on his right eye. Young was covered with blood from a cut right eye, suffered in the opening round, a nose bleed in the 2nd and a split left eyebrow in the 5th. The pair stood head to head throughout most of the six rounds, but Bobo got in most of the damaging punches, mainly to the ribs and body while shaking off Young's left hook." -Associated Press
