Bout Summary
Froch dominated the action against a largely defensive Covill. A barrage of punches highlighted by two left hooks to the body as Covill was against the ropes caused him to take a knee at 1:29. He remained one one knee before making it to his feet at the count of nine. A big right hand from Froch seconds later caught Covill flush on the jaw causing his legs to go limp. He staggered back and grabbed the rope with his right hand trying to steady himself before falling again to one knee. At this, the referee immediately came in and waved an end to the bout.
