Casey Jr. is the son of boxing trainer, former professional boxer (Kasim) Casey Puskar

Casey Puskar Jr. represented Wells Park Boxing club when he claimed his victory over Steve Eickensher of Hamlin Park for the Chicago Park District 95 lb. Jr. divison title in 1979.
