Category talk:Deaf Boxers

Boxers with the nicknames of "Silent" or "Dummy" were unable to speak. Not all of them were deaf, however. It is sometimes difficult to determine which were deaf-mutes (thus falling within this category), and which were only "mutes." Perhaps the category could be expanded/edited to "Deaf-Mute Boxers"--boxers who were either deaf, mute, or both. --Ric 13:20, 30 Aug 2005 (CDT)

I'm just trying to limit it to hearing. So basically total deafness. In that regard, Berlenbach does't count, since he was able to recover his hearing, and had it while he boxed (most important).--Matt Tegen 15:48, 30 Aug 2005 (CDT)
