Bohbot apparently began boxing in 1945 winning the Moroccan Flyweight title in 1948. Bohbot also won the North African Flyweight title in November of 1950.

Between 1951 and 1954 Bohbot was ranked as high as the #5 flyweight by The Ring' monthly rankings. And ranked as the #7th flyweight in the world in their 1953 annual rankings. Record should be considered as incomplete at this time.His record is also somewhat misleading due to the fact while he was a natural flyweight, often had to fight much heavier men to earn a living. Older brother of fellow boxer Hanania Bohbot.
