"On the undercard, Charles Murray scored a technical knockout over Courtney Hooper, retaining his International Boxing Federation junior-welterweight title.

Referee Frank Cappuccino, acting on the advice of the ring physician, stopped the bout at the end of the fifth round of a scheduled 12-round bout.

Murray, of Rochester, N.Y., raised his record to 31-1 with 19 knockouts; Hooper, of Detroit, fell to 30-4.

Hooper, his left eye beginning to close in the third round, became almost defenseless against the straight right, the best punch in Murray's arsenal.

The challenger lasted two more rounds, ending the fight on his stool after the fifth." - Robert Seltzer, Philadelphia Inquirer, 11/20/93
