"The ratings of contenders for middleweight champion Tony Zale's crown was due for reshuffling today after Bert Lytell of Oakland, Calif., pushed Charley Burley of Pittsburgh all over the coliseum ring for 10 rounds last night. Lytell, 159, puzzled Burley, who had been at the top of the challenger's list, with his left-handed style. After Lytell showed his superiority in the early rounds by twice staggering Burley, 156 1/2, the two fighters waltzed the rest of the way to the expressed displeasure of the crowd." -Associated Press
