Burley, making his first start since March, made a fight of it in the early rounds lashing Williams' kidney area with smacking rights. Burley, an 8-5 favorite, took the first two heats in a romp. Williams took over in the 3rd, relying mainly on short, sharp blows. While Williams' punches didn't carry the sting of Burley's, they were far more numerous.
