Teddy Davis 129 lbs beat Charley Riley 129 lbs by SD in round 10 of 10

"Teddy 'Red Top' Davis punched out a split decision over Charley Riley last night in a 10 round nationally televised featherweight match at the St. Louis Arena. The bout was fast all the way. The bout was high-lighted by a determined toe-to-toe battle between the two feathers, who were even up in two previous meetings that also ended in decisions. Riley fought his specialty, concentrating on infighting and aiming for the head. Davis matched Riley's attack, but directed most of his blows to the body. Davis was virtually unmarked at fight's end. Riley suffered his usual nose trouble. Davis had Riley's nose puffed by mid-fight and blood trickled down Riley's face by the 8th. There were no knockdowns." -Associated Press
