"Cisco Andrade, undefeated lightweight from Compton, Calif., kept his record unmarred tonight by pounding out a unanimous decision over Henry Davis of Honolulu. Davis was more aggressive in the early rounds of the nationally televised bout, but Andrade's sharper and shorter punching turned the tide from the 6th round on. The fight, which did not have a single clinch, was fought for the most part at close quarters with Davis throwing the heavier punches but Andrade prevailing in close. In the last three rounds, Davis and Andrade stood toe-to-toe, but Cisco brushed off Davis' heavy blows and scored repeatedly to the head. There were no knockdowns." -United Press
