Clarence King, who has had some 26 fights as a professional, never fought a better single round than he did in the last canto of his six round bout with Buck Buckalew of Pensacola. King went into the last round trailing, with Buckalew having a one-round edge on good punching, but King came tearing out to stagger Buckalew with two good blows to the jaw. Buckalew did not go down, but King took the round by a good margin to even the bout on Referee Charlie Duffin's card.
