Clarence King, sharpshooting West Palm Beach lightweight, punched out a unanimous 10-round decision over Justo Jimenez in a rough-house battle at the Beach Arena.

Battling for keeps all the way, the pair went at each other with everything they had, fair and foul, and fans saw one of the most exciting melees of the season. By the time the 10th round was over they saw Jimenez felled by a foul blow and then by a fair blow, King stretched out with a nifty right to the midriff and a red-hot scrap.

King was a bit too clever and tall for the Mexican. He kept Justo away most of the night with his neat left hand and crossed with a right occasionally.
