Pro Boxer: Record

The Ring magazine, June 1946 issue, in its report of the April 4 Jerome Frazier fight, that Clinton Perry's nickname was the "Brown Bomber." There was another boxer named "Perry" (Benjamin Perry), who fought as the "Young Brown Bomber"--with similar weight, and in the same area and time period, as Clinton Perry. Benjamin Perry is listed in the BoxRec database with that pseudonym. On December 17, 1946, in Boston, both Brown Bombers fought on the same card, so it would appear that they are different fighters.

However, there are one indication that the two fighters' records may have been confused and mixed-up through the years: There is a sudden gap in Benjamin Perry's record in 1946, while Clint Perry had a string of fights in that period.
