"Clyde Gray of Toronto took on veteran Angel Robinson Garcia on Thursday night and looked like anything but the world's number two welterweight in winning a unanimous decision. The native of Three Mile Plains, N.S., battered Garcia throughout most of the fight but his timing was off and his combinations lacked authority. Gray had no excuses about his listless performance but Irv Ungerman, who manages Gray, said he had taken two months off of training this past summer." -Canadian Press
