"Toronto's Clyde Gray retained his Commonwealth welterweight title today when he knocked out local favorite Sakaraia Ve in the 10th round of their scheduled 15 round fight. After an even fight in the first three rounds, Gray took charge. Early in the 10th round Gray connected with a left hook that sent Ve to the canvas for a six count.
