"Izzy Jannazzo, 148 1/4, New York welterweight, Tuesday night pounded out a hard-earned 10 round decision over Cocoa Kid, 144 1/2, New Haven, Conn., in the main bout at Ebbets Field before a crowd of 5,446. Jannazzo, constantly jabbing with a high left, opened a cut over Cocoa Kid's left eye in the 4th round. He concentrated his attack on the injured eye thereafter and closed it in the 9th. The victory was the second for Jannazzo over Cocoa Kid, who sustained the first setback last year in Baltimore." -United Press
