"Former WBC junior lightweight champion Cornelius Boza-Edwards continued his comeback Saturday with an impressive 3rd round TKO of previously unbeaten John 'The Heat' Verderosa. Boza-Edwards, Uganda, knocked Verderosa, Staten Island, NY, to the canvas twice before referee Larry Hazzard halted the bout at 1:38 of the 3rd round. It was clear from the start that the fight would not go the scheduled 10 rounds as each fighter found the other to be an easy target. But Boza-Edwards proved to be the harder puncher." -United Press International
