Report from Joe Koizumi's Ring Japan
May 10, 2000 TOKYO, JAPAN-Japanese middle champ Naotaka Hozumi was scheduled to appear in a main event, but suffered a hand fracture to be unable to fight as slated. His stablemate, JBC No.2 ranked welter TERUO NAGASE, 157, became a last-minute substitute, and found it easy to halt HYUNSIK LEE, Korean No.5 super-welter contender, 165 1/2, at 0:44 of the second session.
Nagase, who had upset ex-OPBF welter champ Hiroyuki Yoshino in his previous bout, landed a wicked shot at the breadbasket, and Lee fell down. His cornerman tossed in the towel, though he didn't seem to have suffered much damage.
Nagase raised his ledger to 18-5-1, 12 KOs. Lee dipped to 13-10-3, 8 KOs. UNDERCARDS
