Curtis Parker 160 lbs lost to Dwight Davison 160 lbs by UD in round 10 of 10

In a major bout of undefeated professionals, Davison came into this match 26-0 while Curtis Parker was also undefeated with a perfect record of 17-0

"At 6'2", Dwight Davison was 6 inches taller than middleweight foe Curtis Parker, but the lanky Davison found the height and reach advantage wasn't all that advantageous as he took a 10-round unanimous decision over Parker at Caesars Palace Friday night. Davison, of Detroit, the WBC's 3rd-ranked middleweight, said after running his record to 27-0 that Parker's speed and his tactic of coming in low presented some problems. Parker, from Philadelphia, the WBA's No. 3 middleweight, now 17-1, set the tempo in the opening two rounds, as Davison tried to figure out how to handle his low-charging foe. But by the 3rd round, Davison began landing uppercuts and scoring consistently with a series of body punches." -Associated Press

  • Both fighters weighed 160 1/2 for the bout before a crowd estimated at 3,000.
