Curtis Parker 159 lbs beat Willie Monroe by UD in round 10 of 10

"Curtis Parker graduated to world class with a one-sided win over former middleweight contender Willie 'The Worm' Monroe. While Monroe enjoyed a 4 1/2" height advantage over the 5'7 1/2" Parker, he didn't have much of a chance to fully employ his explosive jab. Though no knockdowns were registered along the way, Parker, the youngster at 20, did dominate throughout most of the fight, especially through the latter stages as his aggressive approach nearly had the 30 year old Monroe out on his feet. Round six saw a definite swing in the scoring. 45 seconds into the round, parker landed the best one-two of the fight and from then on it was all a matter of survival for Monroe. Parker did sustain a cut over the outer edge of his right eye but it did little in slowing down his approach." -Boxing Digest, October, 1979 issue
