Saenz was the long-time promoter of boxing cards at Culver City Stadium during the late 1920s and early 1930s. He was also the promoter-matchmaker at the Ocean Park Arena in 1933. Saenz and his family were among the early settlers in Culver City, having arrived there on land grants from Spain in the 1700s. Saenz was killed, when he was struck by an automobile in Venice.
