Bout Summary
After a less than thrilling contest, Daniel Ponce De Leon came through again in round five with a devastating straight left hand that dropped and finished Reynaldo Lopez officially at the 2:39 mark of the round. Reynaldo Lopez was doing well in the early rounds, backing away and doing his best to counterpunch when he could. He was actually able to take quite a few hard blows from Ponce De Leon. Towards the end of round four, Lopez began to come forward and was able to back Ponce De Leon against the ropes. But he became overconfident, and in round five went right at Ponce De Leon. He was hurt a few times before finally being dropped by the hard hitting Mexican.
