Danny was his boxing name he was actually born in the US. He was born David McDonald at 643 Franklyn Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, USA on the 27/7/1905. The family later migrated to Australia in 1911. Danny as he was known by all died 13 April 1973 at Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Danny had no sons, he had three daughters.
