- Wilson was knocked down once in the 1st round by a jab
- Wilson was knocked down once at the end of the 3rd round by overhand right. Wilson was badly hurt by that punch. Referee Battle proceeded to count to six and then stopped counting, causing confusion as Wilson got off the canvas. Lou Duva (who was in Tshabalala's team) was very angry, as he believed Wilson did not beat the count, however, video replay appeared to show that Wilson got up at the count of nine.
- Tshabalala was knocked out by a left uppercut and was unable to beat the ten count.
