According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Dave Holly participated in a Battle Royal at the Broadway A.C. in Philadelphia on March 5, 1900. The other participants were Ben Harris, Tody Banks, Olle Tolson and Dave Everson. Harris and Banks were the only two left standing.
Holly died July 25, 1912 at his home in Camden, New Jersey, of an infection after being bitten by a dog. Obituary
