Boxing champion. He won the New York State version of the
World Middleweight Title in August of 1922 defeating Phil Krug
Over fifteen reds. by unanimous decision-this was clearly the
High point of his professional career. He lost the world title
three months later by disqualification to Mike O'Dowd in November of
1922. Rosenberg also defeated many fine fighters like Sammy Smith, Young Ahearn, Tommy McAleer,
Italian Joe Gans, Phil Krug, Lew Chester, Gus Platts, Phil Bloom, Bert Colima, and Augie Ratner just to name a few. Rosenberg had a tough chin and never suffered a stoppage loss in his entire career.
