DeWitt Clinton Van Court was an instructor at the Los Angeles Athletic Club (June 1907-1920s). Before that, he held a similar position in San Francisco with the Olympic Club ([1]), where he helped teach James J. Corbett to box.
After America's entry into World War I, he became the boxing instructor at Camp Lewis, Washington. [2]
He appeared in the 1919 silent film comedy The Egg Crate Wallop.
