Dean Chance was the head of the International Boxing Association IBA.
In the 1970s Dean managed power punching heavyweight contender Earnie Shavers.
Chance had an 11 year Major League Baseball career where he compiled a 128-115 record. His career was highlighted when he won the 1964 American League Cy Young Award, that he captured with the Los Angeles Angels after going 20-9. Chance also played with the Minnesota Twins, New York Mets, and Cleveland Indians.
