- Stiverne floored King late in the opening round with right hook to the side of the head. King got to a knee at six, and rose to his feet at the count of nine.
- A series of right hands wobbled Stiverne in the fourth round and sent him back into a corner. Although Stiverne was occasionally returning punches, the referee stepped in and waved an end to the bout. Stiverne was upset with the stoppage.
