"On 4-17-98 in Uncasville, CT, Derrick Harmon by disqualification against tough and tenacious Hector "Pit Bull" Sanjurjo (7-3-5). Sanjurjo constantly pressured Derrick, and was leading on the scorecards after 7 rounds by scores of 69-64, 67-66 Sanjurjo, 67-66 Harmon; at the start of the 8th and final round the fighters were instructed to touch gloves by the referee, but Sanjurjo hit Derrick with a sucker punch instead; Derrick’s cornerman Joe Goosen jumped up on the ring apron and screamed in protest, and Sanjurjo was disqualified at 0:33 of the round for punching on the break and for unsportsmanlike spitting at Goosen, which Goosen fortunately managed to duck."
