Both fighters were gloved at eight o'clock p.m. and scheduled for a swing bout for the ESPN2 undercard of Edner Cherry and Wes Ferguson. Hartman and Samuels were not allowed to leave the locker rooms until they were called to fight. The fighters did not enter the ring until midnight after being gloved for four hours and not allowed to leave a confined area due to strict Florida Commission rules after a fighter is gloved they are not allowed to go out of the sight of an agent for the commission.
