Dode Bercot beat Young O'Dowd by PTS in round 4 of 8
- Date: 1922-12-22

O'Dowd took the nine-count three times before Bercot slipped over a short right to end the bout. "Bercot's enthusiastic admirers, fellow workers in the logging camps in Monroe vicinity, carried Dode from the ring on their shoulders. O'Dowd required the services of a physician to treat long lacerations over both eyes before he was able to leave the squared arena." Everett Daily Herald
