Former world featherweight champion, Joey Archibald was knocked out in the third round of a scheduled 10-round bout with Doll Rafferty of Milwaukee.
The bout began slowly. Archibald took the first round and the second was a draw. In the third, Rafferty knocked Archibald through the ropes but the Providence fighter came back swinging hard lefts and rights.
After one minute and 39 seconds of the third round, a left hook to the jaw by Rafferty put Archibald down for the count.
