"Andy Kendall, Portland, Ore., made a strong comeback in the last three rounds to gain a disputed draw with Don Fullmer, West Jordan, Utah, in their 10 round 'Strip fight-of-the-week' at the Hacienda Hotel. Kendall staggered Fullmer early in the 2nd round with a hard right to the head. He tried consistently for his knockout punch, but seldom could keep up with the cagey Fullmer. Fullmer, ranked 10th among the middleweights by Ring Magazine, caught Kendall in the 9th round with a solid right to the chin, but succeeded only in enraging the Portland light heavyweight." -United Press International
