"The..fight was anything but exciting. For the most part it was marred by Moyer's persisent holding. Jordan was the aggressor thorughout but his display was hardly of championship calibre...The best action..came in the eighth when it looked for a fleeting moment as though Jordan would win decisively. A well-timed right knocked out Moyer's mouthpiece. Jordan followed with a right uppercut, but..was unable to accomplish anything more." (The Ring, September 1959, page 11)
