"Unbeaten Donald Curry of Fort Worth, Texas, won the 22nd fight of his pro career and his first as a junior middleweight Saturday, beating James 'Hard Rock' Green after a disputed referee's call. Curry hit Green, of Irvington, NJ, with some quick shots to the head at the beginning of the 2nd round. Then, 40 seconds after the round started, Curry caught Green with a left jab. Green said a thumb landed in his eye. Curry said the jab was 'clean.' Referee Dick Cole said the fight was over." -Associated Press
