Dorel Simion

Dorel Simion (born: February 13, 1977) is a Romanian amateur boxer, who won the Welterweight bronze medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. His results were:

• Defeated Ruben Puchu (Puerto Rico) RSC 3
• Defeated Roberto Guerra (Cuba) 11-7
• Defeated Steven Küchler (Germany) 26-14
• Lost to Oleg Saitov (Russia) 10-19

Simion also won the World amateur championship at Light welterweight in 1997.
